In Florida you do not need a special boat driver's license if you were born before Jan.1, 1988 and have a valid car driver's license.
If you born on or after Jan.1, 1988 and 25 years old you must have FL Boater's Safety card to operate a boat.

The insurance companies do, however, require an instruction in how to handle such boats.


For the use of the boat is the conclusion of a skipper liability insurance to provide.
Skipper liability insurance is not required for US and Canadian citizens!

Please fill up exclusively with marine gas (ethanol-free petrol).
Petrol containing ethanol can cause damage to boat engines.

A Security Deposit insurance and towing insurance is recommended.

A sea tow towing insurance is concluded locally over the captain.
